I saw this investing course on eBay: http://!!!!!!!.com/6snjt56
Is anyone familiar with it and can you recommend it? Would it serve well as a general reference work on the many aspects of personal investing?
Many thanks!

If you really want to learn, I can recommend some good books and good web sites.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
Gadgetmind, book and website recoomendations would be useful for me - if you wouldn't mind? Thank you.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0

I usually recommend "Smarter Investing" by Tim Hale, but there are bigger questions. For example, why are you investing? What's your goal? What's your timescale? How will you react if the value of your investments drops 30% over a period of just a few weeks?
Most people fail at investing because of themselves and not because of the nature of the investments.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Thanks, gadgetmind, I'll check out that book.
I'm investing as part of my retirement plan- timescale IRO 20 years. As for the 30% drop - been there already and managed to be OK with it.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
Yep Smarter Investing and maybe Intelligent Investor if you want to get into real depths.
Got lots of intelligent people on here who can answer questions you may have (apart from maybe gadgetTIC)

In that case, Smarter Investing is perfect, and maybe also read *lots* of the articles on the Monevator blog. Note that both SI and Monevator have a bias towards low-fee passive investing, which is also now my approach after a quarter century of paying others to mismanage my money!I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Thanks, guys, that's really helpful. I've made a note of your suggestions. I'm not a newbie as I already have a S & S ISA and a SIPP, but I would like to gain more knowledge and confidence to do more.
One thing's for sure - I won't be "investing" my money in any of these so-called wealth creation courses - or a wealth coach!!Life is not a dress rehearsal.0
