I love the backslapping with thanks around this place massaging all those sitting in their ivory towers egos.

    michael...

either ignore them or entertain yourself by tossing these idiots around like ragdolls!

The vermin who work this forum on a professional basis are just low-grade propagandists working for the payday loan industry.

This forum, like many others, is awash with industry insiders who breach the charter by posing as 'joe bloggs", rather than openly admitting their "professional" background.

These grunts are paid the absolute minimum wage to employ various low-grade techniques of disinformation, to discredit critics of the loanshark industry.

This is nothing unusual. In fact, it's commonplace in most industries that directly interface with the consumer to find shills.

Pharmaceutical companies are notorious for posting bogus stories about their drugs to online forums. We've all read those incredible online accounts from Anon. who writes "I recovered from terminal cancer after taking drug X.. Are you dying of cancer? If so ask your doctor for drug X NOW!!!"

Those BigPharma companies are actually forbidden in law from directly marketing Prescription-Only Medicines to the general public. So instead they uses shills posing as patients to do the dirty (and completely illegal) work of marketing their very costly and often useless and dangerous drugs to the public.

As we can see here, the Perception Management Operatives are working clandestinely, and perhaps indirectly for Wonga.Com and the other scum loanshark lenders who got close to destroying the life of your family and many others.

Best thing is to actually entertain oneself by pinging the ears of these idiots!

While the Perception Management Operatives were whooping and sniggering at your call for help, they were also tied-up, allowing others to find the genuine advice!
  • asbokid, when you said the majority of the States in the Union had 'banned' payday loans did you actually mean minority? 13-16/50 isn't a majority. Is it?

The whole UK population both civil and military should be protected from vultures like Wonga! There should be a cap on interest rates. Simples!

Indeed.. In Hong Kong and in Canada.. the nationwide cap is 60%. However since 2006, Canadian provinces have brought in their own laws with caps much lower than 60%, and with other restrictions. Only one payday loan per person at any one time is allowed in BC, for example.

Where there's a will, it can certainly be done.

A 2006 report from Executive Intelligence Review identified the PDL loanshark industry in the USA as being funded in a large part by the proceeds of the Drug Trade.

The gangsters running payday lending today are nothing short of Organised Criminals.

Is that it?...is that your best comeback? You lied and have been found out. Your lie totally undermines your argument.

How many USA States have banned/outlawed payday loans?
  • Less or more than 25? Not a hard question to answer is it?
  • Oh it's 13 or 16 which is a number less than half of 50. i.e. a minority of States? Remind us all what you said?

Since 1869, debt liability has been no more than a Civil tort in the UK [1] [2].

    *sigh*

US Federal Law forbids under penalty of Criminal prosecution, all wankas like wonga from issuing loans to US service personnel at rates any higher than 36% APR.

That cap effectively destroys the entire business model of wonga with its 4000% APR.

Let's talk about the Creasy campaign to seek protection for Our Heroes here in Britain.

Like their American compatriots, those serving Crown and Country in Her Majesty's Armed Forces deserve to be protected too from the vultures behind Wonga and other Predatory Lenders.

If you support Our Troops, then join the campaign! [3]

Listen you cretin, I'm fully away that liability for debt is a civil tort, but fraudulent liability isn't. SOFA deals with the committing of crimes by visiting servicemen, not acts of lending in the visited country - obtaining credit under false pretences is still thankfully regarded as a crime in this country. I've just told you the interest rates are heavily regulated and that payday lending is not illegal in the US, something you have on several occasions spouted as fact. I have served my time in the forces as a reserve, so certainly don't need an imbecile like you to tell me about supporting our troops.

Ps I'm not a Wonga !!!!!!, but I DO have a whole crapload of money. I'm also not bothered about who owns that house since it worth less than mine.

Don't know what sort of system they use -there may be an online record all PDL companies are obliged to search. In the end if you lie then it's your problem the law can't do everything for you but it can do something like capping interest as posted above -that would be a start!
