Outlook Express desktop message alert - how please?

I'm using outlook express and think there is a way to have abox come up on the desktop when you receive an email but I can't find it in the Options box.

Please can anyone explain how to set it up?

If you have turned OE on, I think you will automatically get a notification icon in the Notification Area (formerly Systems Tray--by the clock). However, possibly you have turned that off. Right click in a blank spot in the Taskbar|Properties|Customize|in the Behavior column make sure "You have new Mail" is set to "Always Show".

You might be getting Outlook Express confused with Outlook. With both you get the little envelope in the system tray but as far as I know only Outlook pops up a box with details of who is emailing and the subject.
