MBNA PPI Claim

Hi,

I've just called MBNA on their dedicated PPI Claims line to make a claim for 10 years worth of ppi. The advisor said he will fill in a form for me and pass it to the relevant department to process and I will receive a letter within 14 days - didn't ask for any information other than a contact number. Someone told me that claims are automatically upheld is this true?

MBNA seem to be pretty fair at upholding in my experience .
Providing you have covered all the data required they will get back to you sooner than other banks have been performing !

In my case I had a letter together with a cheque no proper breakdown and in fact they did not pay me all accounts that I had so beware of this and check that they pay the correct amount .

Good luck keep us posted .

Just had an uphold from them for credit card PPI. Put in complaint 22/12/11 received cheque yesterday :) No letter before getting cheque to explain breakdown though, so will have to contact them to find out how much of it was 8% interest in order to pay HMRC :(
Does anyone know if MBNA pay gross or net????

    MBNA £3,600 Paid :)
  • Thanks for the response - I had a phone call a few days after receiving my card telling me it was required as part of the agreement. No T's & C's explained, on a temp contract etc so I could never have claimed on it.

How far back can we go with MBNA Credit Card claims? I paid mine off about 9 yrs ago but was with them for five years prior to that...

    thanks x
  • I don't think there's any time limit providing you still have some documentation relating to the account. You've got nothing to lose by trying
  • MBNA ppi complaint Upheld !

Letter received on 30th Jan - cheque due within 28 days. I'm well chuffed, I feel like I've got my life back.

Does anyone know if they pay out within 28 days or will I have a long wait for my money? Thanks
