  • Excellent discounts :j wondering if I am cool enough to get away with some of the shorter boots with skinny jeans tucked in (or leggings) Arrgh! probably just too damn old :o
    Thanks anyway
  • You're never too old

  • Save your cash, fitflops would be a waste of cash with 99% off! Not only do they not work, but they can cause serious orthopedic damage down the line!

Can't find an article on it, but here's another very similar case against reebok's "toning shoes":

(As a new user I can't post links, but I'm sure a quick google will find you the articles)

The best shoes are usually the cheapest! The thinner and flatter the sole (closest to being barefoot), the better. This is true for all activities, from day to day living, to running and going to the gym.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I don't know if they tone and all that, I simply wear mine because they are comfy and look nice. 2 things you rarely say together with regards to shoes!

Have to say i disagree with you too Simon!

I'm not sure if they tone you up or not but you can walk around all day in them and your feet never get sore. I have three pairs and live in them from Easter to october. They are quite simply the most comfortable footwear I have ever had. I have never tried the boots as I found them too expensive but now they are all reduced in the sales I am SO tempted.
  • Simon is entiteld to his opinion but he clearly is lucky enough not to experience the severe and constant joint pain that my Lupus casues me.

FitFlops have turned my life around - I can say that without exaggeration. I can't wear toe post styles but I have a dozen other pairs (sandals and boots) and it has meant I can actually walk for longer than ten minutes without needing prescription painkillers.

Plus the Superblizz boots are the ONLY boots I have ever found that keep my feet warm. I have terrible circulation problems and my toes are normally blue but the Superblizz keep them toasty warm.

Do they tone? Well, yes, I feel they do but they don't cause weight loss - though that is not the main benefit for me.

They ARE expensive but they are great quality and last for years.

I recommend them to everyone with any kind of foot or leg problems. They make no medical claims themselves but there are thousands of customers writing genuine testimonials as to how FitFlops have improved their quality of life.
Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies

Another disagreeing with Simon, I'm afraid. Flat boots such as Uggs give me a terrible pain in my lower back. I had Avon Fit Flops in the Summer, and didn't suffer with it at all. Lived in them, so much so, I ordered myself the slippers as well! Most recently, I bought the Skechers tone-up boots (at half price!!) and haven't had a back problem since :) Can highly reccomend the Skechers, warm, comfortable and covered miles in them. If I had the spare cash I would give these a go when I finally wear out my Skechers.
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???
  • whilst i agree that everyone has there own opinion I just wanted say that I have had official fit flop training which I found very interesting, I was informed that the NHS has funded alot of the research they did so that they can sell this product and Market it the way it is, I was also told that they would be recommending them and possibly one prescribing them to ease the discomfort that some people have in their back, joints etc. I was also led to believe that they can correct your feet, for example clawed toes. They dont necessarily tone you up as you wear them, the position your foot is in along with the way you walk whilst wearing them means your muscles work harder possibly resulting in more toned legs and bum.I could go on and on but I won't bore you anymore, just felt people might appreciate a different view.
