How much does it cost to re-render a chimney?

Hi,
Does anyone have a ROUGH idea of how much it costs to re-render a chimney please.
Im not sure of the height of the house, its mid terrace Victorian, the chimney is at the back of the house. I have read that scaffolding has to be used instead of ladders, I am hoping to find somone who would be willing to maybe do it as a hobble on a ladder as I have heard that the main cost comes from scaffolding, any help would be appreciated before I start calling around for quotes.
I live in S. Wales
Thanks

  • If you aren't quite sure the height of the chimney how can anyone help you with a price estimate.

Scaffolding could be anywhere from £300 to £800 ish depending on height & who is about to do it & what mood they are in & access for lorry & access to the area where its going up & how long its needed for.

Saying that though I have know some guys do it for £250 cash that they can spend down the pub.....
