Leaking from top of window when rains heavily

If it rains heavily and also rains against the side of my house with the patio window, it leaks water from the top of the window / wall. We've had the rendering repaired and a tyrolean coating added. The problem is still occuring though. Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this?

could just be a simple matter of renewing the sealant around the window frame.
or could be that the plastering job was botched.
    Get some gorm.
  • Do you have cavity walls?

If so, water might be coming down inside the cavity, and if it's not being guided / allowed to shed outwards (by the lintel etc), could be finding its way to the inner wall via the top of the window.
