pre paid dongle?

I was given a netbook with a pre paid dongle as a gift,I hurriedly got another prepaid one on three when it expired, the first one cost about £60,the second about £80.
Any advice on where to buy them, and how to get a better signal?

No need to keep buying new dongles, just buy preloaded SIM's e.g. here

You can also get 1 and 3GB SIMs on eBay, far cheaper than buying/topping up directly from 3 themselves (e.g. 1GB for £4.50).

Better signal: get a good quality 2m USB extension lead so that you can get the dongle as high up as you can.

Where can you get 9GB of data for £12.95 with a top up? e.g. here

True, guess if you buy if before you need so you have it handy when other one runs out.

  • I have been using Three dongles for more than 3 years now. There is no need to keep buying dongles, you can get SIMs with a prepaid allowance on eBay. Be careful to get the right ones. They are usually for 1/3/12 months, and the 12-month ones are the best value.

Three advise using the dongle upstairs, close to a window on the long lead - the last tip helps stop overheating too.
