    No they want to be shafted with worthless drachma s. And lots of them.

    This is not about the germans or anyone shafting the Greeks, this is the greeks shafting themselves, wanting free money and the nice things it buys without earning it.

  • Not seen any coverage of whether the so far reporting electoral areas are boradly similar or more city/rural. Wonder if any late swing is possible? Any of our Greek friends here know?

    Doesn't seem to be a single part of Greece that voted for a yes majority?

    The 2 opinion polls that were referenced on the BBC yesterday both had the outcome at 60-70% yes.

    I have to say - well done for the Greek people for standing their ground. They have faced some pretty big threats by the EU. The biggest yesterday warning of "armegeddon", including no power, lack of food and no medical supplies.
