Hi Pursueit, I was successful with a loan from 2004 but it ran until last year 2011 when it was fully paid off. If your loan from 2005 was still in effect within the last 6 years then I would try with that one as they tend to keep records for 6 years. If they (or you) still have supporting evidence of this, it may link back to the previous loans. If you have a valid reason to complain for this loan, go for it and see where it leads ;)

    Hi Pursueit

I managed to claim back from a loan I took out in 2001 and settled in 2003 with Sainsburys. You stand a better chance with your documents and loan numbers as I had mine but where the page was bent, one of the numbers was illegible. HBOS were a bit difficult so i sent it to FOS and it was resolved quite quickly after that.

I put my claim in 2010 which was outside the 6 year period of settlement.

    Good luck!!

Thanks to dilus and dec22 for your encouraging post.

My loans are from 2001, 2002, 2003 which were all consecutive consolidation loans (have all agreements), which were finally consolidated in my Loan from 2005. I therefore didn't see the first three to settlement.

I don't know when I started paying the 2001 loan after the agreement dated Feb 01, they normally gave you a few months grace before you pay. My bank statements don't go back that far. However I do have my bank statements from partway through 2001 and hence for all loans since.

The 2005 loan is still active and absorbed the balances sequentially from the three previous loans, which I will finish paying in August this year.

How does this alter my approach and chances with it being live?
Or do all four loans get treated separately?

Hi Pursueit, If you have all the paperwork and statements to back up all the loans then you could photocopy them and include them in with the questionnaire. Make sure you put ALL 4 loan agreement numbers on the questionnaire if the reason for mis sale is the same for all 4.
If the reason for mis sale is different for any or all then do a separate questionnaire.
It is good you have paperwork to back them up, well done, they can't come back to you saying they have no records if you have supplied them ;)
The first 3 loans won't be worth a huge amount as you paid them off very early and you will have got rebates of PPI each time but the last loan will be worth a nice sum.
Sainsbury's are quite good time wise and if it was upfront single premium you will have a strong case, good luck and keep us posted on progress ;)
