parking fine

Options
I was given a parking fine at a place where I was working. It was under consruction so I did`nt think I would need a permit, there were other cars parked next to mine and they did`nt have a permit but did`nt get a fine. The fine was £60 failure to pay in 7 days and it would go up to £85 and if this was`nt payed in 14 days it would go up to £135. I was only there 3 hours. It was a private parking company.Should I pay this fine?

If its a private parking company, then the answer is you don't pay at all, you just ignore the parking company completely, unless signed and stamped court papers arrive, which happens about the same amount of times as you have won the lotto jackpot.

And by the way its not a fine, its just an invoice, or cat litter paper , or maybe a paper aeroplane, anything but a fine!
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

How many times have you called it a 'fine'?! :)

You need to get that word out of your head completely, it is a SCAM, not a fine at all, as taffy rightly says.

Watch the Watchdog clip on the sticky thread 'welcome, please read before posting'. That's what that sticky is doing there at the top of the forum - to help newbies so they don't have to post new threads all the time about every fake PCN - and the sticky thread info would have answered your questions I am sure.

Do not even THINK about paying this extortion attempt.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It might help your state of mind if you were to STOP CALLING IT A FINE!!!!
I can afford anything that I want.

Treat it like you treat any other flyer left under your windscreen wiper.
It is a scam that impersonates authority.
All you will get are lots of silly letters impersonating more authority.
