Lloyds TSB credit agreement confusion

Hi

Really hope somebody can help me, I decided to start reclaiming PPI that I had with my credit card in 2004 while I was a student (its states this on the agreement). I cancelled the PPI in 2008(ish). The only problem on the copy of the agreement it doesnt show that I had Payment Protection, there are two boxes for yes or no but niether ticked  I dont know where to go from here.

Also is says on the letter

Statement of Account, as at the date of this letter:
Current Balance £603.70
The entire amount is due and payable immediately

I rang Lloyds to ask why I needed to pay it as not missed a payment since around 2006 and the guy I spoke to said 'I wouldnt worry about it' which really wasnt the answer i was hoping for.

Any help will be great thanks

    Hi there

Well you could just go along and still continue to make a reclaim on the PPI anyway, because as long as you have the account number that is fine.

However, you can optionally request for a Subject Access Request (SAR) if you require information of all accounts taken out with them.

With a SAR they should provide you with information of all accounts you've taken out with them, so if you also banked with them, you enclose your bank account number details to them in order for them to track down everything they still hold.

They have 40 calendar days to comply, and you enclose the one off payment of £10 cheque or postal order.
I would also make sure you get proof for posting at your post office.

So any PPI taken out with them should be enclosed in the details they send to you.

Hope this helps, good luck and below is the link to a SAR letter template and below that a reclaim questionnaire, but if you also go onto lloyds website, details of the same complaint questionnaire are enclosed on their site, good luck.

You dont need the agreement. You never did. You just need to know what your reasons for complaint are. That is what you tell the bank.
