British Gas (lack of) Customer Service
Jeez....all I ever seem to do is complain about how poor Customer Services are.
I want to spend some money on Homecare cover with British Gas (I want to know if my Thermal Store is covered by their policy) and despite having a 48hr turnaround to online enquires, it seems they need training in basic timekeeping skills.
Then when I phoned to chase the enquiries I was advised to sign up to the Homecare plan and then when the engineer turns up ask him if my unit is covered. Duh ?!!?
And to think I was also thinking of switching provider to these clowns as well.

cant see that your comment was called for! it seemed quite logical to me - to ask whether the system was covered, before signing up.
BG failed to respond to the request. I found the original posting useful.0 -

Already have. All it says is that BG maintain an approved list of boiler appliances that Homecare applies to. But it doesn't list them.
Why, what did you see that is obviously different?0 -

Unfortunately you get people patrolling these forums who just seem to insert irrelevant or smart-a**comments. He may be one.
I've given him the benefit of the doubt and asked for further info on what he saw that I missed. If he can get me a sensible response then I will be happy.
If not....well.....0 -
It is covered. How do I know? Because I have Homecare Cover with BG and had mine looked at about 4 months ago.
Can't believe they couldn't tell ya though.

These "Clowns" as the OP put it are real people, the OP should read the T&Cs which are there for any "clown" to read.
You may find the OP useful but in there statement. Are you a "Clown" ?His Heart Proved He Was A RedSuarez, SuarezWe Bought The Lad From AmsterdamWe Know He's Not a Chelsea Fan.Fernando Torres = El Judas0 -
So, nothing useful to add then ?
1. T&C's don't answer my query. Still waiting for you to show me where it does.
2. T&C's don't help with my complaint which was about BG's lack of response.
Quod erat demonstrandum.

not sure why you respond in this way. I think that the use of the word 'clowns' by the OP was not being aimed at an individual, rather a company that is deemed by many people, myself included, as incompetent and thus is a fair comment.
Your use of the word however appears to be aimed at me specifically. No I am not a clown. Do I criticise you for poor spelling, syntax or statement regarding Fernando Torres?
It seems to me that #5 was correct. :rotfl:0
