New Car Warranty Issue

Hi everyone, I have a new smax bought in december. Since then it has been in and out of the dealer with pullin to the right problems, error messages on the computer and a door trim needed replacing. I bought the car in UK and I live in Belgium. The dealer in Belgium has been realy good and they have told me that there is nothing more they can do, they cannot find anything wrong and have tried everything they know to fix it (changed wheels, consulted with other ford garages etc) they have advised me to contact the garage that sold me it and see what they say, which I will do in the next couple of days. Trouble is I am a little concerned that this is going to drag on and I will be up against brick walls. Can anyone offer any advice at all? Many Thanks

Len

  • Basically a ford main dealer have said they can't fix the car? Have they found a fault but cannot fix it? If so that's not right and you should demand its sorted under warrenty. If they cant find fault but you think it's there request a road test in a like for like car, if it's the same then it should be put down to a characteristic of the car, if not it needs fixing (this is in reference to the pulling over, obviously a warning light should not be on the dash on any car and should be sorted under warrenty)

Yes thats right, they have said that they cannot find the problem. There is a bit of a language barrier over here so its difficult to push it and the Belgian's can be a strange breed.

Hence whu I think te UK dealer is the best option. I didnt mention that roads over here can camber quite serverly to the right but even with that it is still excessive. I will have to get it over to the UK to see, wonder if they would meet the costs????
