Also at Currys online for that price too
    .

Hardly surprising as PC World and Currys are part of the same group Dixons Stores Group - you'll gather that Dixons are also in that group as are The Link

I don't think it's available 'til Monday and it also has a 25ms response time which is disappointing.

My apologies ... I have 2 leaflets here combined, one for today and one starting Monday, and the TFT monitor is on the Monday leaflet ... I hadn't noticed ;)

There are two models available L-1715 and L-1718, I have the L-1715 and only difference I can see between this and the L-1718 is the cosmetic look of it and the response time.

Not to worry, I have just looked and it says the following about the screen:

    16ms response time
    25ms access time

Anyone care to enlighten me as to the difference?

    It is also 260 cd/m2 (that's squared)
    400:1 contrast ratio.

I'm tempted to get one for my daughter, only downside is that it has no inbuilt speakers.
That's a blessing. Speakers in TFT monitors are pathetic - there is no cabinet volume to enable them to sound any better than the tinniest transistor radio.

The Aria 17" is a better deal at £138.xx including shipping plus they threw ina 50 pack of CDRs for free at checkout.

Currys wants £139.99 plus £6.99 shipping and the free delivery code won't work on this offer so you're paying more and getting a crappier monitor from Currys.

All Iiyamas TFT are called - 'prolite' - this model e-yama is not on their website.

This seems to be either a Curry's special product or maybe not an Iiyama at all (I doubt this) Dixons store group often do these 'exclusive products' Sometimes with the TVs you then cant get repairs done as engineers cannot order spare parts - you are forced to go back to dixons *shudder*

Just went to the Aria site and ordered the 17" for £138.

Hoping to have it delivered for tomorrow. It does sound a better bargain that the Illyama one elesewhere on this thread.

I was going to wait until next week for the Lidl special being touted at £149 but the loack of patience got the better of me!
