  • This place is cracking me up tonight, i was going to bed ages ago!

Bloomin' heck Happy thats wild. thankfully since he died its been a bit better here. Although there are some lovely wooden windows in one of the houses and half a front door at the moment!

Ah i just love living in inverness, can you tell?!

I wouldn't mind living in Ness, the guys up there are quite hot and I love the accent.

Lovely and quiet on this street now though. Hate to think who he's been inflicted on now. He used to stand outside Tesco asking for £2 for the bus so he could get home to Mastrick (other side of town). He obviously didn't recognise me and he asked one day so I snarled back "it doesn't cost 2 quid to get to ******* Road, you can walk there for free but judging by the state you're in it would take you a week" He avoided me like the plague after that.:rotfl:
  • That sounds about right. And if you hit Aberdeen on rush hour it will take you another 4 hours to get to mine. 10 minutes outwit rush hour.:rotfl::rotfl:
I'm such a country bumpkin! Aberdeen/Edinburgh rush hour scares the dodo outta me and OMG the Forth Road Bridge leaves me a quivering wreck.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

Edinburgh is too big and too busy, but at least you can go around Edinburgh unlike Aberdeen. :(

Sounds about right, I've seen Westlife about 6 times in concert:o

When you say 'about' 6 times you really mean 12 dont you?!
My mum was devestated when they split, she used to go see them

There's a fork in the road, which way will you go
You standing still or will you step into the great unknown,
Is yours to decide, this is your life.

    A joke for you Happy...

The Arab and the Scot …

An Arab Sheik was admitted to Hospital for heart surgery, but prior to the surgery, the doctors needed to store his blood group in case the need arises.

As the gentleman had a rare type of blood, it couldn't be found in his Country so they sent out a worldwide appeal. Finally a Scot was located who had a similar blood type. The Scot willingly donated his blood for the Arab.

After the surgery, the Arab sent the Scotsman as appreciation for giving his blood, a new BMW, diamonds & US dollars.

A couple of weeks later, once again, the Arab had to go through a corrective surgery. His doctor telephoned the Scotsman who was more than happy to donate his blood again.

After the second surgery, the Arab sent the Scotsman a thank-you card & a jar of toffees. The Scotsman was shocked that the Arab this time did not reciprocate his kind gesture as he had anticipated. He phoned the Arab & asked him: "I thought you would be generous again, that you would give me a BMW, diamonds & money... but you only gave me a thank-you card & a jar of sweets".

To this the Arab replied: "Aye, but I now have Scottish blood in my veins".
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

  • Hi all,

I am a newbie coming out of the shadows to say hello! I have been reading (lurking) this thread for a couple of weeks because I wanted to get the hang of things before posting - it took me ages to figure out what 'wombling' was!! I know I've still got lots to learn about good old Mr T's so forgive any silly/obvious questions I ask!

I am slightly worried because I already seem to be becoming a bit addicted to this thread and I am sooo amazed at some of your finds! Today I have had my first success.....a really shabby tatty old bag of the 1p Andrex woo!! :j When I told my OH he was a bit confused as to why I was so excited about it.....:o

Anyway I am looking forward to becoming even more obsessed with this thread...oh dear!!

    A big warm welcome!!!

My family made a lot of fun about my items from T's and used to laugh about the amount of stuff I had from various glitches including the Boots one. That was until I told them exactly how little it cost me for it all, they were like  while I was :rotfl:
I've even got DS helping out, he's my goffer, I make him go for to find out if somethings cheap. He loves it, he comes back with the biggest smile on his face and I then know what items to fill my boots on!!!! Usually means it's a toy or food item he loves.
