    Morning

Tesco have Muller Lights on at 4 for £2 and Asda have them for 6 for £3. If I bought 6 in Tesco, as the offer would only kick in for 4, would that generate a JTD?

Sorry, not very familiar with JTD, be gentle!

    Thanks :)

    Yes, but Tesco's 4 for £2 will kick in too, so you'll only get about 22p JTD from this. (cost at A = £3/ cost at T £3.22 (4 for £2 + 2x 61p))

    It's only a game

I went through an awful phase with DS when he was about a year old. I can't remember what the 'technique' was called that I tried but you had to put them back into bed however many times it would take to get them to sleep in their own room. When I tried it, I put him back into his bed 137 times!!!! That was the end of that one! He will settle in his own bed now always comes through to us during the night, anywhere from midnight onwards.Im going to get a Gro Clock in the hope he will stay in his room all night. We have a superking bed but when he comes in with us, he lies on my pillow and I end up hanging off the edge of the bed!

Saturday night my DS started crying at 3ish to come into my bed ... I opened his door and he threw back the covers and walked into my room and into my bed (trance like). It was so funny cos unbeknown to me he had brought his wellies to bed with him and he was wearing them when he did his bed hop. :rotfl:

    Morning all!

I've got my meeting with DSes school today in about 30 mins, he's told me it's with the vice principal, (never met her) would have prefered the principal because I feel he knows DS well, and his own teacher. Again I've never had a meeting with his teacher so not too sure of how she feels about him either or what she finds are his problems in class.
Today is to talk about what secondary schools he wants to go to, I had to sit him down and tell him that he may not get into the school he wants due to his score in the exams. Last year the lowest the school accepted was 95, the year before was 96, DS got 83. I'm hoping that because his school year was a low birth year he has a better chance than he would have done. Still not sure what schools to put down and in what order, I know the ones he wants to go to but also know he has a slim chance of getting into them. The local high school is very good, it's the only one near us, there are grammar schoools then surrounding it.
I would prefer he went to an all boys school but his best friend is a girl and he doesn't want to go somewhere she couldn't go.
He told me this morning that he now wants to put an all boys school on the list, Inst or RBI, in Belfast city centre. It's a fantastic school but again I'm unsure if he could cope.
Just wish I had someone I could talk this over with :(

Hope this went well! I sympathise completely! DD wanted desperately to go to a certain school, signed up, passed the tests, but then bursaries were pulled... and devastated. The point is that the school she is at (no fees) has been super for her, and we had no idea. There is so much parents agonise over- from lunches to homework, to the peer groups ....

and what I am learning is that none of us has that magic gift of hindsight, but we each do our very best for our children.

I am going through the same thing over again with DS1, and it isn't easier the second time around! Take heart! Children are amazing, adaptable, resilient people.

(that's why I am NEVER growing up! :rotfl::rotfl:)

Can always cheer yourself up with some good wobbling efforts. :)

    morning Elite! :)

I'm still in pain :( it's the fourth almost sleepless night for me and the strange thing is the pain keeps me alert as well as the coffein from the painkillers :o Just managed to drink a homemade smoothie to give my stomach something nicer then the pills... Can't wait till it's all over, I even promised myself I won't make a fuss about the unavoidable dentist visit :o

Bf has been great over the weekend, put up with my fuss and moaning all the time, took me to T yesterday even though I was a right *b word* :o I had to get some food as mi sis with her bf are coming tomorrow to visit and will stay for a week... but I never did such a quick and bargain free shop in T!
Bf even put my new bike together last night! :j I seriously doubted he'll be able to do it(I know, I should belive in him a bit more) but he did! :T
love all the mums stories and the holiday pics too! :)
Westie where did you loose the 6in from?!?!?!

Gonna have a rest now as it's my 'lucky pain free half an hour' and then if the pain comes back I'm gonna call a dentist and ask if they can just give me an injection if I go there and I'll go home to have a few pain free hours :o

Czerchy phone the dentist now to make the appointment, it's unavoidable you have to go, so book it now for later in the week. Hope you're not waiting for it to stop so you don't have to go:cool:Just do as your told so as we know when your going;)

Completely agree, but confess I even moved house to get my DS into the school we wanted, and I only moved from one end of the road to the other:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:Stayed in the same street(It's a long road though!)

Afternoon everyone, hope everyones ok, glad to see 3dogs arrived safely, sending you hugs:)Just back from the hairdressers so going to bung a colour on my hair now, so much cheaper to do it myself especially as nice Mr T sent me a £1 off voucher for my hair colour with my cc points:TMy days of paying £100 plus for a cut & colour are long gone, just can't bring myself to do it anymore.
Going to pop to T's tonight so hopefully a nice little glitch will pop up this afternoon;)
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

Does anyone know the email address to use to praise good CS but complain about a Tesco own brand product?

Saturday evening I went to local Mr T with a bag of size 4+ Huggies Super Dry nappies wanting to exchange them for size 5.

There was none in stock so I got size 6 but wasn't too sure they do the trick cos my two are quite slight and whereas 4+ wasn't keeping them "Super Dry" (capacity) I was thinking 6 wouldn't be great either cos they wouldn't fit snuggly.

Anyway, I exchanged for size 6 but woman at CS gave me some Tesco own brand size 5s "to see us through the night". Apparently they have an open packet that they give to those who ask for 'instore nappy changes' ... IYKWIM. (I did actually have some size 5 'overnight' nappies at home but didn't have the heart to tell her). She was doing her good dead for the day and so I took em :D

I have in the past bought the odd pack of own brand nappies ... when I've been stuck and I know they're only gonna be on for 2 hrs at a time ... but never tried them over night. But on Saturday night I thought I'd give them a go.

At the moment DS has a bit of a sore bum :( and so when he was up at around 3 I did a change and used Benpanthen. In the morning ... what did I find? A split nappy and goey crystals in PJs. Ouch! Many tears

    :o

I called them and going at 2pm :o I took some(well many) painkillers at 5am and I was fine until 10am :j but then it all came back :( so I booked an emergency appointment :( it's the 6th day now! how long can a stupid tooth hurt so much?!

    Lost over 2kg though :D
