  • Does anyone here regularly use BBC iplayer? DD just watched yesterday's 'The Magicians' and it cut off before the programme had actually ended.

This happened last time we used it to watch the last episode of Sherlock - it cut off just before the 'twist in the tale' of someone watching Dr Watson at the graveside. I e-mailed iplayer and just got a 'thank you, sorry, we'll look into it' e-mail.

I think it is pathetic quite frankly. Just wondered if anyone else had this problem - perhaps it is area specific?

I think its due to a memory issue with the device your streaming through (ie its memory is full).. A mate of mine had the same problem using his WII. All you need todo is go and watch the prog again and move the silder along the bottom to find where it cut off...you'll then be able to watch where it left off ;)

It was in the slow cooker for 9 hours. I was wondering if a tube of tomato paste would thicken it up?

Trouble is the lid is on a slow cooker so any water that evaporates just drips back in again. If its still on then just take the lid off for a while to allow it to evaporate.

You could possibly add a little cornflower to it to help it thicken. Don't go mad though just ad a bit at a time and stir it all up after you've added each bit.
