Hi guys, just gonna go catch up from post 7353 but will post this first before I do:

I passed all your message on to Mr 3Dogs today and he says thanks ever so much, it is really appreciated
He was in surgery last night from 11.35 till 1.55 am, and the surgeon had gone straight in with the knife as he could tell that keyhole would not be adequate. He found the appendix very inflamed and some puss about, so he removed the appendix and flushed out the area, before stitching him up. When he woke around 6 am, the nurse on the ward had gone to fetch the sandwich which should have been left for him to have when he came round, but there was nothing there for him, so she offered him the 2 choc hobnobs she had in her own bag and he had them as he was starving. He had his breakfast around 7.30 am so was ok after that

I got there to visit around 3 pm, having called to Mr T in K!ngs Lynn for squash and sweeties for him as well as change for the car park which is £2.60 for 2 ½ hours. He was ok, lying on his bed, but still on pain relief (morph) as still very sore, but this time from the wound. He soon gobbled up the choccies – galaxy gift 65p each or 4 for £1 – and made a start on the sweeties, and he had 5 glasses of squash while I was there. The doc had been pleased with him this morning and said he could probably go home tomorrow, so I’ll wait for his phone call then go over to pick him up, if I can ..................... we have more snow

We noticed a few flaked of snow out of the window when I was visiting, but it got heavier by about 5 pm and when I left at 5.30 pm, it was coming down steadily. The roads were keeping clear though and I got back to Wisbech fine. I popped into Wisb Mr T for ciggies and dog food for my disabled neighbour and by the time I came out of the store, the snow was starting to lie. It is about 6 miles home from there along the busy A47 and the snow was starting to lie on the road, and when I got to our village the roads where white. After about 30 minutes I popped along to my neighbour’s with her shopping and my footprints from coming in earlier had disappeared. I was there for about 45 minutes for a cuppa and chat and my footprints from going a long there had been covered over when I came home again. I pushed my key into the snow to see how much there was, and I reckon that about 2 – 3 inches had fallen in about 3 hours, and it is still falling steadily now ............ so I hope I can get over to Lynn tomorrow to pick him up

  • Couldn't agree more. How are you doing with batteries though HC? Had to recently replace mine, bit of a saga. And logic board?

Mine will be 3 years old this November but that battery has been on it's way out for the last 6-8 months. I'll need to save a few pennies before I can justify a new battery. Logic board has been fine *touches wood* I did have a problem with the superdrive where it wouldn't read some discs, then it wouldn't read any. A quick search on the Apple Discussions and loads of people have had this problem and apple refuse to recognise the issue. I took mine to bits and cleaned it out and it's worked fine since *touches wood*.

Have you had a problem with your logic board?
  • thanks for our forum back! i have made soup and run virus scan about a million times thinking it was my computer!

IRT the andes is on at 9pm History HD.

Its a few episodes in already. A few of my faves have bailed already which is ashame as lisa is now paired with a know it all who she is scarring beyond belief!

Is that the same as IRT Bolivia? if so I don't have a TV so I'll need to wait for them to come on the normal channels so I can watch then on Demand 5/4OD/etc.

Thanks MM, kinda glad Im house bound, we have had that freezing rain today, on top of snow/sluch the roads are ice rings very treacherous, some roads have even been closed by the police they are that bad :eek::eek:
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

They were indeed :( I experienced them :(

Much the same forecast for tomorrow too.

Worse thing was having to pay to park in the multi storey, instead of free road parking, coudn't get down any of the side roads :(
