As some of you may not know that I go through bad patches sometimes. Don't discuss it ever tbh. Have it in my signature about depression and the "running beats depression" piece. Which is true, I run all the time, 10 miles a day sometimes to try to over come the feelings. However this week isn't going the best and I've decided to hand in the towel and see a doctor.
I hope to post more often in the near foreseeable future.
Best regards, Lovingtescoforever.
Have you tried rescue remedy ( drops and pastilles ) from boots and st johns wort herbal tablets
I've been on the place you are lots of times and this sometimes helps xx0 -
I cant womble i don't have a printer
but when i go next week i am going to wander around carpark trying to find a £5 off £40 voucher. I dont drive so going to look suspicious. How much do you have to spend to get one if i got one that day could i use it in store same day ?
You have to spend £40 to get one, then you can't use it straight away it's for the following week.
You can pretend to be on the phone while you do a spot of wombling to look less suspicious :rotfl: and like HC says you can still get the CC points!

Not necessarily HC. Some of the private halls have very reasonbly priced rooms at the beginning of the booking season. You're often closer to uni too, so don't need the outlay of bus/train passesThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -

Really? I had a couple of student 'friends' who said halls, especially private ones were ridiculously expensive. Maybe that's just Aberdeen though.:huh:0 -
Ever had a bad day, I'm sure you all have, but I just need a rant so forgive me.
Got up at 4 o/clock this morning to get my OH to hospital by 7. We got to the hospital and found out that some test results from a month ago had come out to mean that the procedure probably would not work. His blood is thicker than they want and the muscle graft they need to do really needs thinner blood to work. Turns out they had not told the right person about this so he did not know until we arrived!! OH now has to see a haematologist at our local hospital to get his blood to the stage they want to enable it to work, so now back to waiting! Maybe a couple of months.
On top of that, DD was driving us and on the the way her clutch went! We just about made it to the hospital with OH babying it a lot. We called out the RAC when we thought we had dropped him off, they took us to a local garage to get it done. In the meantime he called us and told us what was going on so we went back to the hospital. We did not pick the car up until about 3! One long day, all because of a lack of communication!!! I want to scream, really did not need this. We run our own business too so that had been put on hold for a short while, luckily there is some pending work we can get on with and it will be fairly easy to get back into it. In the meantime, we are taking the rest of the week off, we need it after today.
Someone please put some brilliant news on this thread (have not read back yet to apologies), I need a lift. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Pity me of FK weren't closer as I (sure FK wouldn't mind) would have drained it for you and got it going. It's an easy job unless it needs a new fuel pump. Mechanics just love people like you as it's easy money and they get a load of free fuel out of you.
I wish i was closer to you too
Car is now back and im just £200 lighter in my pocket, plus the fuel i put in it. Im obviously in the wrong job, this is what i get for sneaking out of work and doing a quick run to Mr T's, im going to have to make sure i get a good few DTD's over the next few weeks to recooperate my pennies; hopefully lesson learnt!!!Very proud to be Strip club member No 430 -

Maybe just Aberdeen. Some will be ridiculously expensive, yet others are reasonable, very much depends on the city you're in I would think.
There are various search platforms for Lovingtescosforever to use, and that will give her/him, and idea of what's presently available and at what costs.
But time is the key, when DS1 went to his "insurance uni" there was very little accommodation to choose from as he was finding somewhere just 3 weeks before uni started. But we could see the prices of those that had all "sold out"The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -

Uni is the problem! I'm in my 1st year, looking for houses for next year. Assuming I would live with people I get on with on my floor, only to find out that I'm not invited into their circle.
Don't know where I am now living next year.
University isn't all as glamorous as people make out.
Any who I'm signing out, I'll let people know how my doctors appointment goes.
It's still reaaly early - trust me! Things change and also the number of rooms in each house are different so groups of house hunters do chop and change. Have you tried telling them you are looking for people to share with - sometimes they assume otherwise until you tell them.
Please pm me if you need help with Ni accom stuff or depression - been ther for both so if I can help I will ( mind yu my uni days were a few cough cough years ago)
