now then, I happened to go to a different Tesco last week. They had 'scan and go' machines, which I have not seen in any other tescos. Does anyone else use these?

Just wondering if they are useful for..

1) checking if items are scanning at 1p, especially for stores without working price checkers
2) avoiding the SS and the possibility of being trouted before you have pressed 'finish and pay'

I assume that as you scan as you go round, it all happens pretty fast when you get to the pay station. Anyone have them at their local store? Do they help?

Sorry to quote myself, but wanted to ask if anyone used these to check prices in the absence of price checkers? Do they work in the way I think they do?

Morning all! Its a beautiful day here. I love it when theres snow on the ground & its sunny! Had a fab time sledging at Temple Newsam yesterday with the boys, shame they have had to go to school today, would have liked to have taken them again, I'll just have to have a snowball fight by myself instead! I'm a big kid in the snow :)

Oh I bet Temple Nuisance was lovely in the snow!

We saw a family sledging in the fields near here yesterday which was lovely, only thing was I couldn't quite see how they were going to stop at the bottom before sailing into the road... :o
Hope is not a strategy.

You have to be kidding

How many wet diapers should your six-day-old baby have?
Your Answer: two a day is enough
The correct answer was six to eight wet diapers.

I do like the randomness and source of the questions.

I am mildly intrigued that over the last two days I have had multiple questions along the lines of 50 ways to intimidate your teenagers - drawn from the "Domestic Violence Quiz for teens"! The answer has invariably been "all of these" so am getting quite expert on the subject - is the next thing to expect a knock at the door from Social Services?

I got 4 for £1 at on Friday - this was what was on the SEL and what they scanned at.

They were still 65p a couple of days ago - what a rip off...
If you're not scared, you're not paying attention
• Hmmm... either there are regional differences or they have gone down since I last checked.
