the only way I can work it out is that it takes £1.99 off twice. Once for the free shot and second for the 3 for 2?

or the shot is free so you don't get charged for it. 0.79+0.79-1.99-0.79=-£1.20??

EDIT: Tested it out. Just leaves you with 79p to pay. Not £1.20 in credit.
