Huge welcome to 028majmac congrats on joining the mad house
Hi emmlouie how did you stop the hitting in the face, headbutting (also to face and general crap from a 14mth old ? tearing hear oot hair
Feel for you with this, my DS ( 7 with aspergers) can still do this now, though my DD (2) is an angel. The way I was taught is that you ignore the child completely and then praise when they calm down, though did not always work and haven't had much chance to practice it 2nd time round.

I did wonder as i couldn't make head nor tail of it. No probs mharzuk - I know you were just looking out for our HC, as we all are :A :A

Thanks Snap-ant. Love these t-shirts - wish I actually had money in my bank account to get one .... or two :rotfl: :rotfl:

All up-to-date with the thread now :D

I went to see Mam at tea-time and she was quiet on her chair in her room, already tucking into her scrambled eggs with chopped tomatoes, and then the carer brought her a yoghurt for her pud. she had, however, been leading them a merry dance all day. When they were getting her washed and changed in the morning, she was shouting at them and told them to stop and to !!!!!! off - now, I should point out that mam is a very quiet person normally and has never never swore and I don't mean that she never swore in front of us 3 kids, she never swore. Then the 'good carer' B sat with her for a while and she was shouting sometimes and laughing the others. In the afternoon she'd had a good laugh with B who was sitting with her again, listening to the noises coming from Mam's tummy

Anyway, she was good while I was there and they got her changed and into bed after dinner before putting the nebuliser on her. They never know which person they are going to get when changing or moving her, but it was the giggly, laughing Mam they got tonight and I had a big smile on my face as I waited outside while they were in with her. She was settled after her meds when I left

No shopping anywhere for me today, so nothing to report on that front, but I'm ready for a drink now, so I'll just help myself to a Janesons and Pepsi Max, thanks HC
Hugs 3dogs, been thinking of you and your Mam :) x

Watching wrestling with OH so best scoot before I miss a good match :D

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

Is SW similar to WW in that you get a daily points/syns allowance? I did WW last year, but lost my perseverance in pointing up everything I eat and eventually dropped out :o. But all the talk of SW and the lovely pictures of low syn/ syn free food has me interested....it looks as if you can eat more on SW- is it like Atkins?

I haven't done WW for years, but when I did adding up all the points annoyed me.

With SW I find the 'extra easy' system is very simple - unlimited lean meat, fish, eggs, rice and pasta, as long as at least 1/3 of your plate is fruit and veg (also umlimited). Also unlimited fat free fromage frais and yogurts. I think it works because it's a very low fat and low sugar diet.

On top of that there are the syns, so you can have your wine or chocolate or mayo or whatever treat you like. As a shift worker sometimes I am up for 24 hours, so at least on SW I can have an extra meal if I need to.

Just completed COD 3 or was it 4 on the PS3, great game :)
  • evening people! :)
  • I think I should only spill once it's been escalated..you never know who reads this...Considering emailing uncle Phil about this one though. But I will say that it was shocking to be accused in such a way (and this with no evidence/back-up except 3 old trouts corroborating).
Allegedly the manager's emailed a memo about me to all other stores  Can they do that without any proof whatsoever? Surely that's libel/slander? They don't have my name or cc details, but can call up the transaction and see my bank card details, can't they...this might be linked to associated cc...omg I'm getting totally paranoid now!

Might I just add that I've never used underhanded tactics, been warned or anything like that and only had 2 smallish dtd's in this store, last one a good 3 months ago! So am all the more incised by the treatment I received today :(

Disgraceful way to treat customers :(

he only knows about sitting down so not issue with standing, its more that he wears a pull up and chooses to use that and carry on playing rather than go to the toilet. I did have one of those little balls before but can't remember what i did with it ( i did buy it right after he was born as it was rtc at time)

Ditch the pull ups, they are more trouble than they are worth, go cold turkey with ordinary pants & he'll learn within 2 days to get to the toilet on time. I never used pull ups with mine & it took 1 week max with both boys & that was during the night time aswell. Pull ups teach kids it ok to wet ur pants, never understood them. Good Luck

OK Ok I know its not Christmas but I only just found these and I couldnt wait 11 months to use them so just humour me and let me say Merry Belated Xmas!!!

I'm actually quite missing xmas :( I was looking at the picture of my xmas tree yesterday that I took to put on here & never got round to posting. Was gonna post it but wasnt sure if everyone would think I was odd!! (which I am) I think its because it was so mild at the begining of Jan that xmas feels like an age ago.
  • Hello everyone. Wow, I've just had a trouting of EPIC proportions. They really pulled out all the stops. Don't want to go into too much detail, but it was one of the recently mentioned electrical items that scan at the wrong price, not even OOD. Suffice to say it was very much like Looby's (I think) experience a while back and much the same outcome :(. Wild and totally unfounded accusations were made by CS that I really feel were actually slanderous and I was absolutely mortified. The manager refused to check cctv to back up their nonsense too, cos that would have proved them wrong obviously.

Now I'm not sure whether to contact HO about this (and risk being identified) or lie low...but I feel so embarrassed by the things they accused me of I think I will have to pursue this. Worst thing of all is I never asked for dtd, but they wouldn't even honour offer price!

    Why worry about being identified??

I contacted HO for the first time ever today in probably 20 years of shopping in Tesco. I rarely shop anywhere else.

I gave all my details and will received a giftcard for the money the store refused to give me.

They can check my address and see I have a Tesco credit card, they can also see I've claimed a few DTD's over the past few months. So what? What are they going to do? I've spent tens of thousands in tesco over the years and have taken back a couple of hundred recently.

The staff today acted very poorly and brought their employers name into disrepute and needed reporting, so thats what I did. IMO you should do the same.
