    Long life so bought a few of these for the dried cupboard :)

    Well next time play with the recipe.

    You can put loads of syrup in the bottom of your dish before you add the cake mix for a syrup sponge.

    Instead of the 2oz SR flour, you could try .5oz cocoa & 1.5oz SR flour for chic cake.

    You could add the zest of a lemon to the sponge then add the juice of the lemon to the warm cake after generously sprinkling the top with sugar etc.

    Theres pretty much no limit to how you can play with this.

    How about adding a bit of desiccated coconut to the mix then spreading the warm cake with jam and another dusting of coconut for a retro school put coconut sponge?
