Well, had a change of plan here as my friend Linda rang at 10.10 to say she feels awful today and couldn't go out for her shopping. She's had a very bad night and feels absolutely rotten, aches all over and just wants to curl up and die  She has gone back to bed but has left a note for me, so I will pop in later and see her, and get her shopping this afternoon
She is really suffering - the pain in her knee/leg is excrutiating, despite morph!ne tablets, her stomach/bowels are going crackers due to the meds she takes, her rhuematoid is terrible at moment, and she is getting right downShe takes metatrexate for her rhuematoid, which is an anti-cancer drug, while waiting for an infusion to help ease her pain and swelling from this, but can't have the infusion until they sort out what they are going to do to her leg:( Roll on 23rd Feb when she sees the new specialist at Cambridge
Sorry to hear of your friend 3dogs...
I know this might sound mad but has she tried having a day or 2 of the meds? it might make her feel a little better!
I had back/shoulder pain about 3 years ago...turned out to be a prolapsed disc and the meds made me really ill, nausea, drowsy, constipation and generally unwell....I stopped taking them and after a day or 2 started to feel a lot better...still had the back pain but felt better...sometime you're fooling the body with too much medication....
if she really is so bad on the meds...she really can't feel any worse without them....get her to give it a try!!:D"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

one heck of an accomplishment today , I don't mind if I give myself a big slap on the back either ...
did I clean the windows ...you must be joking , did I hoover the upstairs ...no way as I didn't want to disturb the cats , did I clean up the back yard ...no way it's so cold out there ...
Ladies & Gentleman i have finished off the christmas Mr Kipling mince pies , numerous cups of tea and many a munch later but the silver foiled fiends are now no more !!...the problem is it's only 9 months until we splurge on them again but for now I can rest easy .I was young once , now I get older all the time .0 -

I'm starving
got an innocent veg pot last night for 35p. Only about 350/400 cals in it so I'll get on with that in a minute. Mmmmm.
We signed and sent at the end of September, it is quite common I'm afraid, this is our second family member. It makes you realise how organised you have to be when you get older because it seems to happen all of a sudden, with mine I noticed things, and then from no where the short term memory loss was almost zero...(/(/
