  • Bit of a lurker.....as usually nothing to post. Today however I got DTD on a Sony docking station for an iPod. sel £39.98 sale went through at £59.99 so it only cost me £20.

If anyone's interested Sony RDP Mi5P square box blk and white flat speaker, iPod docks in front and has a handle!

Did also manage to get the 9 pk mars...not sure why I'm on a diet! Oh well I'll put them in the staffroom so everyone else can gain a few pounds!:p

    Morning all.
Nothing to report....just wanted to say good morning!!

Regarding Car Salesmen.....the best tactic is to say they haven't knocked enough off the price and walk away.
If there's any further discount to be had, they'll come running after you!!

Have to agree with this. Our Dyson DC04 started making some horrible noises (clutch broken). Took it to our local repairer (normally very reliable) who said they had stopped doing this repair as it was too tricky/fiddly and expensive(£100+). Looked on YouTube, found a video, bought the part for £20 and fixed it myself in 10 minutes. That was two years ago and it's still going strong:D

  • back from 4 tesco only one had a shelf space for the 10p mars bars, but the shelf was empty:mad:. 3 stores had the surf gel ball thingys, and all but 1 store refused to sell them to me. i asked the ss "if i make a donation into your charity box, can i have them?" "yeah go on then" was the answer. :j:ji wont name the store as the ss will be sack.

in one store there was a sel of 1p, it was empty but had a description of "chef and waiter helper" it was with the ladels and serving spoons. anyone know what it is?

Use a screwdriver, spoon or similar in the refil hole to lever off the top, then refill with own soap and replace top

Done. Thanks for that! I used some old hand cream mixed with Christmas-themed bubble bath bobbles I got in the Superdrug sale -they were too horrible to give to kids, but fine as handwash.
