Spotted the Denby sets at the end of an aisle, marked with both half price posters and one saying save 28.50! Full price on shelf. Bought one and was charged full price so went to cs. She took both posters off and was suggesting it was only 28.50 overcharge, but I said I looked at the half price offer and it said the same as the other poster. She was happy to give me dtd so free Den:rotfl:by set for a wedding/engagement present :-) very nice sa in the end...they are out there!

They were wines that were coming off a half price offer but SEL might be for the lower price.....this is because a lot of the offers have been rolled over and also some of the SEL's didn't have an expiry date on them ...just "half price" IYSWIM

The Marquis D Carano Reserva was SEL at £4.49 but scanning at £8.99

If you give me 10 minutes I'll type up a list of the wines that were coming OFF offer today....so might be worth checking out

I had a nosy in my local today... surprise, surprise, no cheap choccies. But in a way it's a relief, 'cos I'd have bought and eaten them otherwise! No 1p items apart from a few descalers. They must be implementing the selective pricing thing early here - the platinum band dinner set that's been reported as £4.80 RTC is priced as £10.00, xmas soft toys (1.75 at nother T just a few miles away) at £2.00.... xmas gift wrap still at £1.00 a roll
Couldn't see anything reduced in the homeware aisle and whoopsie reductions were pitiful as usual. I did get the last pack of Coco Waffles for 25p though (SEL)
