You won't look back! It's such a rewarding feeling to make meals out of next to nothing. I even use lentils to bulk out mince meals etc. no one would ever know!

lol me too, I used to live on the old style forum.

Good morning, Just posted this on Tesco misprices - worth checking to see if your store has the SEL of 99p:

I have Just been for a quick 'reckie' on this - in my store SEL is £11.99, bottle is scanning through at £5.99. HTH

Hi guys, I am new to this page, literally just found you! I ordered this bottle online last night and was confused by the price do the same rules apply for internet shopping or should I head to Tesco?

    Thank you.
In it for the fun :)

Got up early to make a few cupcakes as a friend should be bringing her kids round later. Used up the last of the marg (only use it when baking for guests as it is cheaper than butter). Used up the last of the ground almonds and a couple of pears that need using too. (made pear n almond cupcakes)
Just got text that the kids are all full of cold so now we've got to eat em  I HATE margarine and don't like eating cake just for the sake of it.

At least I didn't get round to topping em.

What is everyone else doing today?

We are finishing off a space project with kids.
Went Jodrell bank yesterday and going to another observatory tonight.
Making papier mâch! models of their chosen planets and writing up reports for yesterday's field trip.

At least dinner is made. No cooking today, yay. Rice in the thermal cooker too so easy peasy dinner.

    Just found this
    http://www.freewebs.com/sql-provida/policy.html

Quite old but most things still going on today.

A couple of things you may want to write down.

Dtd has to be given under Section 14 of the Trade Descriptions Act.
By displaying the fact they operate a dtd policy they are obliged by law to give it.

The Consumer Protection Act 1987 says it is a criminal offence for a trader to display misleading price indications. If prosecuted, a company can face a maximum fine of £5,000 for each individual offence
This could be quoted if they try and say the barcodes are different or similar.

By quoting any of the above you could result in putting yourself on the radar or possibly being banned so only use in extreme circumstances.

Thats really useful to know, and like you say, to use as a last resort when its worth it to stick you neck out. Just knowing it (ie the 'misleading' bit even if the barcode it wrong) will give me confidence, even if i dont say it!:T

Sounds like a lovely mother n daughter day. Can't get a more rewarding experience than preparing for a wedding!

Good on yer for being such a fab mum. I would actually nominate you for a reward if there was a current competition. A mother who is solely responsible for a daughters wedding catering has got to be top of the list:T

How is the planning going? Seems like you have things pretty much under control.

    I WISH you could :)

I would love to play around with your camera. Your photo really inspired me. OH has just said we need a better zoom lens for the camera. We haven't got a tripod either. I must make a mental note to buy something useful for our anniversary this year!!!!!!
