Where do you find the stocking bags? Down the sweet or toy aisle?

Morning All , nice here , dry at least .

For al lyou excercise junkies and gurus , surely the cheapest way of excercise is to walk out the front door and keep on walking ,hopefully to somewhere nice , vary the inclines ,enjoy the scenery and take a few lungs of fresh air as well .

    Doesn't cost a great deal .
    Just a thought .

I walk at least 5 miles every weekday to and from work twice walking all the time at work then dog walking twice. I am hoping i get the free pedometer from Tesco so i can keep track of all my walking :D

Morning all, just back from T's, I've been keeping my eye on them Cadbury's Olympics selection packs. They've had an sel of £4 since after Xmas and today the sel was not there so I scanned them and they're now £5

    Nothing else to report :(

Sorry but that made me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: no wonder you are feeling

A friend told me she found a Cab Sav for £1.99 in Tesco this morning, had a look but the space was empty. I couldnt quite make out the writing but looked like it started Trebe... was £3.99 now £1.99. Maybe worth a shufty.

    Good afternoon everyone
Ok, so far I am failing in my mission today as I am still about 3 hours behind on the thread

Could you all possibly stop talking for a bit while I catch up :D

Wow ... what a haul! Well done Fudge. Can I ask where you found the Barbie Video Camera?

    TIA

Sorry didn't get back online last night. I found the Barbie video camera sitting lonely on the shelf with the other barbie dolls. Almost didn't bother to scan it, as I thought it had just been moved from somewhere else, but sooo glad I did :)

So true, enjoy long walks at a brisk pace, Dulwich Park is one of my favs.
Bout 3 miles each way and a few around the park itself ( remember to bring bread for the swans and ducks).

I used to love walking round Dulwich park, when I went to visit my great uncle. It is soo beautiful and peaceful there :)
But have just been given an allotment after being on the waiting list for some years, so think that will be my focus for the next few months - it's in quite a state and needs some TLC and I am a newbie to growing veg, so should be fun even though a lot of hard work ahead.

Spuds are normally a good thing to plant first if the ground has not been tended to for a while as they are great at clearing the soil

Hi all. Thanks nikki for the new thread. I haven't posted for a while, and have turned into a lurker,:o but I found a bargain today that I want to share.

In T's I found a stack of Thorntons Premium Collection chocolate gift packs, 96g for 75p. It was on a normal white sel, on the normal chocolate shelf. The box is about 4x4x3, with a red top and a stripy bottom, and a red bow holding on the label on the top right corner of the lid. Barcode ends 5495, and the best before date is 9/9/12.
The best part is that on the shelf next to them was a 210g box, and I think the sel said £7.99 . If you buy ten of the gift boxes you get 960g of Thorntons for less than a 210g box!!!
I hope this helps someone, and yes, I know that it's chocolate again, but the boxes would make lovely little thank you presents. Needless to say I will not be tempted :p, cos I joined Slimming World two weeks ago, and have already lost 8 pounds :j:j.

    Well done!:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

Right, I've just trowelled on the make-up to pop to T's, it's one of those 'need a lot of make-up' days, the girls will understand!

Not so sure its a waste of money, when a client is spending £300 a roll on paper, they expect everything else to be in the same price bracket (i.e expensive) so turning up with cheap tape does not create the correct impression.

Brewers is my fav dec supplier when shopping for client basics.
some of the dec shops in Fulham have the most beautiful paper.

Have been decorating for over 20 years :D

I'm not sure what your point is Frequent? The person asking isn't a professional decorator otherwise they wouldn't be asking for decorating tips........

Having used both the frog tape and the B&Q professional tape, I would go for the B&Q every time, no way I'd buy frog tape again, right old rip-off and I've found the B&Q one is better at creating clean lines, though no masking tape is perfect.

Thanks deb, I normally do about 6 exercise classes a week and go to the gym but I'm in agony with shin splints so I thought I'd go back to swimming for a bit. In my youth (6years ago lol) I used to do 2-3 miles a day every day but I started back last week and I'm up to a mile in 40 minutes (breaststroke) which I'm quite happy with considering Im a bit older and a lot heavier!

Well done smart1e on winning the pub quiz! What's the prize?[/QUOTE]

We pay a pound each and there's 4 of us in the team, the quizmaster splits the takings between the top 3 teams usually so if you win you get about £10 ish but we buy a few lottery tickets and save the rest for a Christmas do. I only started doing it a few months ago but we've already got £20 in the pot in the last 2 weeks so it could be a hell of a Christmas do - that's a lot of bags of 1p nuts...

We don't always win but it's more for the glory than anything and the feeling of smugness lol!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
