Recommend a business bank account

I have an existing Ltd company business bank account with limited and basic features.
In the future, I anticipate growing my business and eventually having 100+ separate small sums paid into it by suppliers each month by direct debit.
Can anyone recommend a business bank account that is online, comes with a company debit card and has low charges for multiple direct debits?
And perhaps one that can cope with overseas payments, too?

You could look at the HSBC Direct account, from memory it allows either unlimited or at least a high amount of electronic transactions (but does have higher counter fees). I assume inbound DDs count as electronic transactions but dont accept DDs so you would have to check.0

I use Nat West and Santander. Nat West will become Santander this year or next I think so I'll need another one but whilst Santander is free for life, Nat West is free for the first couple of years I think. After that, charges come in and I don't believe there is a need to pay them so I'll be closing that one down.0

We have a business account with Santander (ex A&L) and I've never heard of this charge. We don't get charged anything unless we pay in less than about £1500 per month (can't remember the exact figure without looking it up) when the charge is a flat fee of £5. If you have low income one month, simply transfer out a sum then move it back in again to take your income above the minimum figure and avoid the charge. No other charges for transactions etc.
Don't know what their customer relations are like, we don't use/need it, never had a problem. Everything is done online.0 -

The free account does not appear to be available any more to new applicants, only those who already held, and continue to hold, such an account since before 24 October 2011

I don't mind paying a small fee per month as long as it includes a large number of non-chargeable transactions, not being hit with a monthly fee plus x pence per direct debit.0
