Bose Soundlink

Hi
Im not very technical but after much deliberation we have bought a Bose soundlink,mostly to use out and about. We have set it up initially on our desktop to try it out, despite being connected there is no sound from the device.
I hope someone can point us in the right direction,because we have to sort out our laptop and netbook also!

When you say "connected", do you mean that it has been successfully paired with a Bluetooth device in your desktop PC?

What program are you using to play music on the PC? What OS do you have on the PC?

yes we are paired with the PC everything seems to be OK except no sound. We are trying spotify and its Microsoft Windows

"Microsoft Windows" is too vague. You should see the Bluetooth interface in Manage Audio Devices as a Playback device and it may not be enabled by default. How you enable it depends on which version of Windows you have.
