Kent seems to be one of the most expensive places, regardless of whether you get married in the local registry office or not! I think a Friday wedding at an approved premises (not reg office) works out about £540 :eek:. Our home town registry office is actually even more expensive, seems to be a bit of a minefield.

£33.50 each for notice, then i've just paid £390 this am for ceremony in a hotel in North Yorks. Was also told that prices may or may not be going up in April (1st) and as ours is 28th then we may have to pay an additional 5%Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140

Ours was £30 each to give notice, then £117 on the day, to marry in the registry office, on a Saturday. That was 2010, so the prices have gone up since then.
For a registrar to have come out to marry us in a hotel would have been £325.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0
