Accident Insurance

I may be on the wrong forum.

I was sold Accident Insurance by The Halifax about five years ago. I receive letters every year to say it is being renewed. Could this have possibly been mis sold to me?

Possibly. Anything can be mis-sold potentially.

The issue isnt about the product but how it was sold and set up. If it was not mis-sold and set up correctly then there is no complaint.

The question is why do you think it may be mis-sold?

If they offered it to you and you said 'okay then' and kept paying it, why would you think you have mis sold it.

It's scary how everyone just assumes because they have X insurance it must have been 'mis sold'

Why on earth do you think this was 'mis sold' or are you just jumping aboard the bandwagon?

I just read on an IFA/mortgage adviser forum that an adviser has had a complaint from a Policeman who initially asked the adviser if he had PPI as he thought he would claim as everyone is doing it. The adviser told him he didnt. Then a few days later the policeman customer phoned up again to complain that he hadnt been sold PPI and was given bad advice. The fact he wouldnt qualify for PPI and it would have been a mis-sale had he sold it didnt matter. As it happens, the adviser didnt even do insurance and had disclosed that at the time.

Some people are just compensation chasing XXXXXXs.
