Help sorting cousins pc out, fake widows anti virus

Hello all, I hope someone can help me here, my cousin just phoned, she is very new to computers and was on a web page when a windows anti virus box popped up telling her she had to scan now, she did this and obviously it has messed up her pc. I am armed with a pen drive and she is picking me up in a couple of hours, I assume mwb will be a good one to start with, what else would you recommend? I won't have internet access once I am there so need to try and get everything on my pendrive first. It is running windows xp if that helps, thanks very much for any help

rkill and combofix from bleepingcomputer to go with mbam....

rkill is safe, use it to kill the virus processes (automatically) before running mbam. Keep combofix handy, but don't use it unless advised to do so. Rkill and mbam are usually enough for fake AV. Have a read up on both before deploying
