a little assistance needed?

I am asking on behalf of my parents.

In the past they had loans with welcome finance and they feel they were mis-sold PPI

They filled out the PPI survey and sent it to welcome for 3 separate accounts but received letters back saying that as their complaint pre-dates Feb 2003 they are not required to investigate.

Can anyone advise if this is correct and if so, is there anywhere they can go from here?

You need to ring Welcome and ask who the insurer was,you then put the mis sell claim into them,if the insurer comes back with a no,then you can contact the FOS and they will contact the insurer for you.
Just to let you know, this will take a long time, unless you get the insurer to pay up.
  • can anyone advise if it would be better to go with one of the many PPI reclaim companies than attempt to go this alone?
