    £3?

Mean from Sainsburys. could have rounded it up to a fiver

They didn't have to give her anything at all for sending a letter and it's enough to pay for a loaf of tiger bread or quite a few sweeties! I'm sure she won't be so ungrateful! Didn't your parents ever tell you it's the thought that counts?

    27 and 1/3 (i find that a bit cute from Alex_Riley age 18 3/4 )
  • That is probably one of the nicest, most personal and genuine letters I have ever seen from a major company, well done Sainsburys but more praise to Chris King. From SaintJammySwine aged 36 3/4 (ouch).
  • Can't believe this is only doing the rounds now. Saw it in the monthly journal last year :)

Isn't it the thought that counts?

As an adult £3 may not be alot of money, but for a child it could buy plenty of goodies -- especially from a supermarket who also have budget lines.

There's just no pleasing some people :p

Also, it's likely the letter was addressed to the little girl herself, so just the fact she has had a letter delivered and has to open will be exiting enough for a child.
