  • Hi jayk - you're sounding really good, I'm so glad!

The weeks are whizzing past aren't they?!
I'm up to my eyeballs with sorting out the 2 houses ( one to leave, one to go to ha ha), but getting there. I've decided not to stress over it as it will get done much faster if I don't flap, which I'm famous for :o

I actually have a wee savings jar now, I'm ashamed to say I haven't saved up since I was a child so can't wait for the satisfaction of buying something with my savings - think that may take a long time tho' :o

Right, back to the boxes :D
  • Well I've been debt free for 24 hrs now :jits funny I keep finding myself smiling and thinking, Wow I dont owe anyone anything!!!!!! Amazing feeling :D

Like you JayK, I dont ever want debt again, if I cant afford something, then I'll save until I can pay in cash. I've already been working out my monthly budget, what I can spend on this and that, and feel so much more in control :)

Just got to find out whats going to happen with my car but hoping that as I havent really looked after it over the years that they'll let me keep it - fingers crossed!!

    Hi all

Yes it is a good feeling I actually feel in control now today paid my TV licence monthly and water rate using cards from the companies worked my budget out and done food shopping. Dont waste anything anymore and have started up my copper and 5p jar (lol see you at the cash changer machine Flo) ! My car was collected last week so have been walking everywhere trying to sae bus fares- will get me fitter also. Ive basically gone back to how it was when my kids were little and really had to budget hard. Amazing what you dont need to spend on. I just cant believe no more phone calls or letters such a sense of peace in my life now. My daughter is amazed in change in me and is so pleased that I am more relaxed. We can all look forward to spring now its been a tough time and if anyone every says BR is easy option it is not- requires a fair bit of soul searching and its not an easy step to take. However if it is only option then once taken- you cant look back only forward.

Take cae. Good luck with sorting houses Flo you will get there.

Yes its great feeling is'nt it so much easier to say whats what to them then the calls you would have had before. I used to dread phone ringing and spent almost a year with answer machine on all time. Now its off and I am ready to take calls in a normal way again.

Am still in shock the way Cap one wshed me well and all best for future and stated will be fresh start for me- wen I think of the calls that I used to get!

So glad for you on these boards people really do understand and unless you have never been in a financial mess it can be very hard to explain and majority have probably kept it to ourselves for a long long time ( I know I did) now family know and are so supportive its wonderful. I feel like the old me again. ( but not the one with c.c.cards and loans) !

    Take care

Hi everyone, welcome to the February 2012
    Bankruptcy Club.

This club is for everyone who has gone or going through the process of Bankruptcy during February 2012. So please feel free to join and post.

Pop your name on here, the date that you went Bankrupt and the stage that you are at now in your Bankruptcy. And then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your journey through Bankruptcy. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.

Remember this is your board so keep posting.

Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that do need answering are maybe still better posted on the main board but if you do put it on here, then maybe we can help each other.

Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.

Please leave a post when you have been declared BR, and I will update the list.
