Thanks to all who replied on my LG monitor thread. DS2 has now said he prefers this monitor.
Your comments appreciated especially in comparisons to the LG monitor/tv
He does realise that this one does not have the tv tuner.

The monitor is all well and good for Gaming and watching DVD/Blu Rays.
But as you stated in your other post, your son might want to watch TV in his room on it. There are a few choices you will need to make.
1. If he wants this monitor, to watch TV you will need to buy a freeview box to go with it.
2. You might want to look at just TV's and not monitors
3. Connect a Computer to the monitor and watch Freeview TV on tvcatchup
Search for TVs on Amazon and you can find some decent ones 19'' - 23'' for less than £200, so see what your son prefers. Also He will not need a Full HD TV (so HD ready is fine) as with that small off a monitor the difference is non-existant. HD ready & Full HD only start looking different at 37'' ish
Hope this helpsTech Savvy Student trying to help and learn
