For every system installed before March, for the same money to the UK bill-payer, two could be installed afterwards.0

Thing is with the deadline just 36 days away (22 working days) getting a system installed now from cold will be hard going especially as many installers reduced their staff in December. When the original announcement was made installers had full order books and plenty of sites they'd already surveyed that they could just ramp up instalation - now the system has gone cold so even if there is a late rush it won't be on the same scale as late November - on that basis the Government will probably largely acheive what they set out to do.Adventure before Dementia!0

I also suspect the real log jam will be getting hold of kit to do the jobs.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

And that was the problem in December. We ended up with different panels from those originally planned due to lack of supply of the orginal ones. In the end it was better to get panels installed than miss the deadline although that now looks like it may not have been the case.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
I initially missed the original deadline of the 12 December. Due to the initial rush to beat the Government's deadline. However knowing nothing was set in stone due to the legal action taken against the Government I jumped at the chance of having mine installed on December 19th. The surveys and everthing had been done when my installer rang me on the 13th December and asked if I would like them installed on the 19th. The registration and all the other paperwork has now been done. So although missing the initial deadline having them done as soon as possible afterwards has paid dividends.

Does anybody know when the government has to make a decision on appealing to the Supreme Court?0

There will be some companies - perhaps yours, though of course I'm in no position to judge it - who have retained staff, or made arrangements to bring them back quickly in this event, and perhaps arranged with suppliers to pay a premium to get panels shipped quickly.
These could indeed get panels on roofs very rapidly.
(I would not be surprised to see a dramatic uptick to perhaps 3K installs for the week ending 11 Feb.
I have doubts it'll get close to much beyond 10K peak, perhaps 25K systems installed over the period?
http://www.decc.gov.uk/en/content/cms/statistics/energy_stats/source/electricity/electricity.aspx will be interesting to keep an eye on. (the weekly stats) over the next 6 weeks.0 -
