The OP is actually talking about Lidl's porridge oats. May need to update title. To do this click Edit, click Edit again, and then update title.
That's a good price for oats by the way. Are they any good?
I buy Mornflake Superfast Oats which normally cost £2.18/£2.19 though Tesco are currently selling this for £1.50 until 14/02/2012 and works out as 7.5p/100g. Lidl's on the other hand is half a pence cheaper per 100g.0 -
It's 39p per 500g in my local Lidl. Have bought them for years then they disappeared.
Will stock up. Tesco porridge not a patch on Lidl.0 -
Just back from Lidl & it's 39p per 500 gms.Sorry! But they do taste pretty good, bit nutty if you like that. Still better value than Mr t's value rubbish.0

I might try and get the offer Tesco are doing on Mornflake oats first though if I can't actually find any in store I may give Lidl's porridge oats a go.
I was actually thinking of checking to see which are the current cheapest, doesn't look like there's any cheaper than this at the moment though.
Incidentally, I believe Lidl's oats went up around about last August from 28p to 39p. Still very cheap though in comparison to others.
Thanks Dave0 -
Thats my first "Thanks"!! Chuffed.0

I have several benchmark items in Lidl, porridge is one of them, free range eggs 89p for 6 (Sains barn 79for6) cooked chicken (only buy with 30% sticker.) ditto Frickadilan burgers.Low fat Yogurt reduced to 49p 500g.
Kievs are now too dear. Fresh chickens good at £2.14kg. Given up on frozne fish and normal cheese. Baileys type drink good value. Plus weekend bargains.
On balance a whole lot better shopping experience at Lidl.
My local Tesco is way too big, dodgy pricing can do shopping in 20 minutes then a long wait for the bus.
Sains a fraction too dear but staff good. Co-op prices just out of the window, only shop there for clearance and bargains.0 -
I bought porridge oats in Aldi on Wednesday, and i'm sure they were 75p for 1kg?0
-
Yes, 75p /kg in Aldi and 78/kg in Lidl.0
