Reclaiming PPI with no information

Hi there,

Apologies for adding to the long list of questions (and probably a repetition too!) but I've been looking at this forum and I'm still feeling a bit lost.

Basically I have had a number of loans and credit cards over the last 10 years that I think had PPI but I'm really not sure. I'm not one for keeping documents and I can't seem to find any of the old documents and even checking online I can't find any account numbers either.

Where do I start if I want to make a claim? Is it even worth doing if I haven't got the information. The companies I'm looking at are Barclays, Capital One, Egg & Welcome Finance.

Appreciate any help for the newbie...

  • have you tried just giving them a ring, thats what we did with lloydstsb, we lost a lot of paperwork in a flood, so i just rang them and gave them a few details and they told me over the phone i had ppi and my loan number , they even put a complaint in for me. just waiting to see what happens next. its worth a try :)
