hi everyone
I was reading martins tips on how to save on train fares, which sounds very helpful, except trying to break down my journey made my head spin a bit in the end! lol.
I am travelling next monday - 19th feb - from swindon to nottingham, returning wed 21st feb. 1 adult and 3 children on a family railcard. The cheapest fare that trainline shows is 65.35 on a saver return, this is without following the system suggested by martin (as i couldnt get to find out where the stops etc were).
If anyone that has the hang of the system can find a cheaper fare that would be great, not bothered what time we travel tho would like to keep changes to a minimum if at all possible.
any help would be very much appreciated
thanks
Julie

Hello Julie Swindon - Gloucester would be £20.95 for all of you after a railcard discount. You can then buy tickets for Gloucester - Nottingham for 14.80 single and Nottingham - Gloucester 11.05 Single.
I got the information from fasttickets.co.uk which I find to be good.
Hope this helps !0
