Wednesday 25th January - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!
determined_new_ms
Posts: 7,884 Forumite
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important!
Morning everyone :wave: hope you're all well
List for today:
* checked banking
* brekkie, lunch & dinner from stores - LO chicken enchilladas tonight mmmmmm
* read Martin's email
* Paint bathroom tonight
cleaning & prep for party tomorrow
* buy bits from Tescos while in town for party tomorrow - bagettes and salad
* meat out of freezer for party
* go for a run
* write letter of complaint to BG
Perni - saw your post re going to Brighton for your hen do. Have a look at St Christophers Inn. Its a hostel, I've stayed there a couple of times, once at a hen do and we got a couple of the dorms. Very cheap and cheerful, much better than the travel lodges in Brighton. Last night I stayed it was £18 for the night x
Think that's my lot everyone, have a good day x

Good Morning all
DNMS - Thanks for starting us off
Josie - Glad you had a great time
Perni - Your Hen night plans/ideas sound great, cant believe how some hen nights take as much planning as the wedding these days, lol, 20 hears ago (this year) we just went to "town"
Today's little list (very repititive but helping at the moment)
Check Banks - Done
Check Swapits - Done
Check for surveys (I WILL DO THIS TODAY)

Visit mum on way home from leisure centre and hope we can avoid the dreaded "funeral" talk - I really dont feel like talking about it, I know its good that she wants to plan and sort in advance but I worry she's giving up too (selfish, I know, sorry)
Hope you all have a great day, love to you all

Good morning DFWers and thanks to DNMS for starting us off today. Glad it went well last night Jo; I hope to hear all about it soon

Today is a Stitching Witch day, after I've done some housework and been to town. My days off always seem to be filled with chores rather than earning money
So far:- fed and watered the chickens

- take 3 bags of coins to pay into the bank reducing the massive overdraft by £12

- keep an eye on surveys
- investigate an alternative phone/internet provider as ours is currently £52.50pm :eek:
- make a spotty apron to sell
- get a corset sample stitched together ready to embroider
- DH to make bread
- make HM chicken and mushroom pie from left over chicken casserole
