Travel Insurance for Overseas Brits

We are British citizens now living in Canada but traveling to other countries once or twice a year. The cost of emergency medical insurance for travel is extortionate if bought in Canada. Can anyone tell me if there is a UK company that could offer cover to UK citizens who are NOT UK resident? Many thanks.
