Excel 2007 - Adjust column width automatically. Remove multiple log in details?

If you close your file, open Excel a fresh and create a new workbook, do you still have the same problem?

If there is a VBA code it is accidental, how do I find out? Same problem when creating a fresh workbook.

It's possible that it may have been switched off with some VB code in another workbook - the command works at application level so once it's run it will affect anything running in Excel. I suspect this is probably not likely to be the issue though.

If the 'Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop' is ticked and there is no sheet protection on, I'm at a loss. I guess you could try saving as either an .xls or .xlsx file (whichever it isn't at the moment) then close and open it again, see if that makes any difference - though I can't see that it would.

I'm happy to have look at the file if you want to upload it somewhere? Although I only have LibreOffice at home, I can check it in Excel in work tomorrow.

I have been trying to get this sorted since before I posted it on here.

I highlighted all the cells in the spreadsheet (and a few additional ones too as I reckon that I will be adding to this spreadsheet) went to Home> Cells > Format > Format Cells > Protection > and unticked "Locked". Then I did something else but I accidentally closed the window where I was following the instructions from. Then I closed all workbooks and when I reopened them it seemed to have worked but I haven't chanced closing it yet! :eek:

No problem. The 'Locked' option for cells is only relevant when worksheet protection is active. Sounds like that may be your issue then.
