Consolidation - Credit Card transfer fail

Its a thought which has occurred Tixy, though with my partners plan finishing in 19 months, there would be additional cash to us there, the car loan has another 34 months to run, in 3 years the cards will probably begin to get a dent in them, so I have resisted it thus far.
It also means that if one of us can brave it out without resorting to the DMP, future mortgage / loan applications would be easier.
Its always difficult with a family when extra expenses rear their ugly little heads. I think I will just have to grin and bear it.0 -
I'd definitely approach the company you bank with.
As they'll have your history with them and you are a customer you stand a better chance. That way you can also explain it's to consolidate your credit cards. We got a loan (a long time ago now, around 8 years so things may have changed) and part of the requirements were that we paid off our cards with the money, which we did.
