Subsidence/Damage Claim Search

When you are buying a property , and arranging building insurance cover with the mortgage , do insurers do a CUE database check on whether there have been any subsidence claims or reports of cracks or water drainage issues (which didn't result in a claim) in relation to the property you are interested in purchasing. Can they search on property or seller. Or am i reliant on surveyors reports and solicitors searches on building works?
thanks for any advice

I might be wrong, but I was under the impression that as from 2002 'local searches' covered planning permission and building regs whereas prior to that in just covered Planning permission. Building Regs is needed for subsidence - well it was in our case.0

its cheaper and far more informative to ask the neighbours.
the professionals arent much better than barrow boys or scammers.
and god help you if they get it wrong and you try to sue them.Get some gorm.0 -
am thinking of if someone demolished a porch and rebuilt it (without making an insurance claim and no building regs required) but may have reported cracks to the insurer but then decided not to pursue, then the record would be on the insurance database as a loss. The surveyors or solicitor wouldnt pick this up, but would the building insurers be able to search for this before buying the house? if i did not get satisfactory answer as to why it was done?0
