Marrakesh on a budget

Hi All,
We (me and boyf) are off to Marrakesh in Feb for 3 nights (but 4 full days as arrive early morning and don't leave til late at night). I've booked flights and Riad on a budget, so that is all sorted.
However wondered if anyone had any money saving tips / advice to offer if you have previously been? We've never been to Marrakesh so have no idea what to expect. We're hoping that about £350 is about enough money, although have savings I could use if not!

that should be more than enough - we were in Morocco at Christmas and a two course meal for 4 adults was about £20 - restaurants are cheap and so is transport
Decide if you want to buy anything before going to the souks though - they are really interesting if you stop to look closely at anything you are literally jumped on! they are really interesting to wander round though0 -
Thanks Surfbabe - appreciate the advice! That has put my mind at ease!0

You will get very tired very quickly of being in the souks with the constant attention if you even glance at anything. They talk to you all the time and it does get irritating.
If you eat at the stalls in the main square you can live very cheaply - they all want your business there too but have a wander round and see what you fancy before you sit down. There are some very odd choices! We had a great time there in October but probably stayed a little too long - a long weekend would have been perfect to see all the sights. Thanks Philiippa...great tips. Are there good food options for veggies do you know? BF is a meat eater but I'm not and I'm worried it will all be meat tagines!0

no they do lots of vegetarian stuff and vegetable tagine is lovely0

I spent a week there last year and didn't even spend that. The night stalls in the square are great for food and lots of restaurants have set menus which are goo value. Plenty of veggie options too - I'm not veggie and loved the moroccan salads and veggie tagines. If you to the YSL gardens there is a restaurant but its a little pricey but nice. Have a lovely time!At least the fish fingers are still frozen, that's what I keep telling myself (Truly Madly Deeply)0

Thanks all...just one more Q....did you take euros with you or just get dirhams when you were there?0
