Does anyone know what this is? " searchqu.com/406 "
Whenever I try to search this pops up in the address bar.
Is it a virus?

Probbaly spyware, try running http://uk.trendmicro.com/uk/products/personal/free-tools-and-services/
and checking your antivirus/firewall security.

It's not malware per se, but can arrive on the system as a result of a malware infection, or can be bundled as, or along with, potentially unwanted software.


Download OTL from here and save it to your Desktop.

• Double click OTL.exe to run it (XP), or right click and choose "Run as Administrator" (Vista, Win 7)
• Click the Quick Scan button.
• When it's finished, two Notepad files will open.
  • OTL.txt <- Will be opened
  • Extras.txt <- Will be minimized
• Post the contents of these 2 Notepad files.

(you may need to split the logs over separate posts)

Just before I try any of this :_
I have avg, spybot and malwarebyte on my pc I have tried them all
and none of them have picked this up

It'll have to be scripted out manually then. Run OTL.
