Redundancy imminent - JSA and Tax questions

    Don't know much about most of this but can tell you that you can defer contribution based JSA - I did! Not for any reason other than putting it off and off and off but it was nearly a year after I was made redundant that I claimed. I do not know the rules but was told I had paid enough contributions in the relevant timeframe. The majority of the payout I got was unclaimed holiday and 3 months notice and there seemed to be noway of not being taxed - the redundancy payment itself was not taxed (but wasn't much)
